Wyatt the Warrior

Wyatt was born on June 30th at 8:38am and spent 146 days in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) of Advocate Christ Medical Center.  Wyatt was born with an extremely rare genetic condition called “TARP Syndrome.” This condition affects many parts of the body and more specifically tends to have a strong effect on lung development and functionality.

We learned early on in the pregnancy that Wyatt was special and had many obstacles to tackle in his life.  Not knowing if he would even make it through the pregnancy and that he would have to fight for his life every day, we decided to name him Wyatt meaning "little warrior" or "brave in battle."

Sadly, on November 23rd, 2022 our little Warrior lost his battle and passed away.  After 4.5 months of fighting countless battles he told us, in his own way, that the fight had become too much for him.

This site is dedicated to his life and memory as we know that he impacted and touched the lives of everyone he met and thousands more that never got to meet him.
